Leadership is an essential value for Positive Imprint because very few of our kids understand the true definition of a leader. Like many of their peers, our students follow trends and fads; but, oftentimes, they do not know the origins of these trends. As an organization, we teach our students to stop blindly following and instead set their own trends by identifying positive role models in the community and then distinguishing themselves. In lieu of following trends, we want our kids to establish them; to set the bar in their school, in their community, where ever they are. We hope to enable youth with the ability to express themselves in a way that inspires others. Leadership is not only being the head of the team but also knowing the importance of working as a team and being an integral member of that team. We want to teach our kids that to be a leader means to able to commit to a decision and stick to it despite trials and hardships.
